Our last weeks o' fun in Texas

So Kaden and I have been having a blast playing outside this past week. The weather has been beautiful and we will sure miss it when we get to Germany! Zach and I have been in a frenzy trying to finish up around here. Getting a house ready to rent, packing, praying my passport makes it in time, among other things! PHEW! I can't believe they pack us up next week, then hang out at a friends' for a week, then on to Kansas, then out to North Carolina....then off to EUROPE! It will go fast, and I hope I can document our trip as we go...EEK so excited!

Anyways, I thought I would take the time to let ya'll know {  yeah, that's TEXAS ;)   } just what Mr. Kaden has accomplished in his first year of life!

• Can walk....ok run, everywhere
• Can dance (see video,) mostly shaking what his mama gave him (booty,) clapping, and stomping his feet (thanks Zumba)
• Can say Yai-Yai (Greek for grandma), Papa, Dada, Mama, Baba,YeaYea (hello, like he is on the phone) and is working on Neenee (sorry grandma!) He can also roar like a dinosaur, say "AH" after he takes a drink, and best of all, has a command voice like his daddy...GO McKINNEY'S! He literally competes with the vacuum, by yelling!
• Can point to his belly, ear, nose, mouth, head, foot, hand, and wiggle his fingers
• Can go up (and down!) stairs
• Can climb on and off the couch or low objects (but sometimes tries off our 4ft tall bed, successful?...only some of the time...poor thing)
• Can give high-fives
• Can color and paint
• Can take a fall like a champ (looks like a real boy with all his nicks and bruises)
• Drink from a sippy cup (or whatever cup I am drinking from) (no more bottles!)
• Helps put the clothes in the laundry basket and dryer (or whatever else is lying around)
• Can read "clap" and "wave"...thank you My Baby Can Read
• Can sign "all done"
• Replies to "Kaden, how big are you?" with "So Big" (lifting his arms, not speaking it)
• Can eat with a fork and spoon
• Is addicted to the mouse (and keyboard), cell phones, my EXPENSIVE camera, and fruit snacks/raisins (seriously, he doesn't even chew them, just gulps them down)
• Knows how to dip his food (tofu dog into bbq sauce, etc)
• Throw a ball (and anything else in his way)
• Can match shapes to their slots (puzzles, blocks, etc)
• And last by not least, can give hugs and kisses (my favorite of course)
